This week we celebrate the Winter Solstice, the darkest day of the year that proceeds the return of the light.
It is like the dark moon, a time for quiet contemplation, meditation and sowing seeds for the new cycle that’s coming. Hence, this event is quiet, gentle but deep and powerful – it can be used to chart your future course.
It’s good to honour the sacred cardinal points of the year in some way, as they represent the wheel of the year and key passages of time. They are great days to meditate and reflect – and celebrate even in the simplest of ways.
The Winter Solstice represents rebirth. It is a great time to think about what you have achieved this year, where you are heading next and set clear intentions that will blossom in the spring. Creating your intentions/goals into a physical form is similar to writing down your goals. Making your prayers and intentions material gives them the power to manifest much more easily. This is backed up by countless research – goals and intentions/business or life plans that are written are around 90% more effective than those that, however clear, are just thoughts in a person’s head.
When you have the big vision for a new year ahead, it can then be split into manageable steps, one month at a time. Also, I can show you where to position your vision, as well as the small steps to get there.
Sacred Ceremonies
Honouring the Solstice in your own way helps you feel connected to life’s natural rhythms. It helps you stay grounded, in the same way that knowing roughly where North, East, South and West are at any time. Or, tuning your sleep cycle to the time of the year, resting more in the darker months and then progressing the ideas you have incubated as the days get longer again.
This year, I am quietly honouring this Solstice with an afternoon of healing, with friends and clients, at my studio in Woolverstone. It is invitation-only event, but please contact me if you would like to come – call 07780 612625. You can arrive for any part of this, it will be fluid and relaxed.
I will be offering the following from 2-6pm:
Arrival
Please feel free to arrive any time, just tap on the window or door and I will let you in. You can stay for all or part of the afternoon. My only requirement is to respect the energy of others who are there and still in process if/when you need to leave.
